By collecting facts, checklists and prevention tips from the Centers for Disease Control,
Kindermusik International is making sure I am more prepared than ever to
provide an environment much less likely to allow viruses to spread.
*I have made hand sanitizer available in each class to be used with parent/guardian supervision.
*I receive updated information on virus prevention and trends from the CDC.
*I am disinfecting toys and instruments at CDC standards to prevent transmission.***
-A solution of chlorine bleach (made by adding 1/4 C bleach/1 GAL of water).
-Spray the toys with disinfectant and allow the disinfectant to
remain in contact with the toy for one minute and then wipe off.
-Toys that are likely to be mouthed by infants and toddlers
should be rinsed with clean tap water after they are disinfected.~ CDC
containing 0.0095% sodium Hypochlorite [bleach] and distilled water = 1 TSP bleach/1 GAL water.
For a weaker bleach disinfecting solution, as found HERE
(to clean toys, eating utensils, and other items handled by young children or put in the mouth):
1 TBL household bleach (5.25% sodium hypochlorite)/1 GAL water = I WILL BE DOING THIS.
As found HERE ~ The chlorine evaporates as the item air-dries, therefore, no residue is left behind.
If used immediately, it will be wiped off with water after 5 minutes.
I 'clean' my scarves on the high setting in my dryer for 10-15 minutes, daily-weekly.
I 'wash' them two-three times a year.
